Student Leadership Retreats of 2004, 2005, 2006 Were GREAT!
The Student Majors Association held the first annual "Student Leadership Retreat" on the campus of Elon College on October 1-2, 2004. The 2006 Retreat returned to Elon University and me t with equal success!
Each college or university is asked to select two students majoring in health, physical education, dance, sport management, or recreation (i.e., one male and one female) to attend the event. Two students from each college/university attend at NO COST! Lodging, Friday's supper, and Saturday's breakfast-lunch are provided by NCAAHPERD. Once students successfully complete the leadership retreat by attending and participation in all meetings, NCAAHPERD provides them with a free membership. In addition upon their return to campus, they are also be provided with a free registration to the NCAAHPERD convention in November, provided they recruited two full-paying students to attend the convention. Additional students may attend for $75.00 each, including meals and lodging.
